G3

The G3a was the final Pearce guitar amp.  A third channel was added, voiced for amplified acoustic guitar.  I’ve heard that fewer than 50 were produced.  Changes from the G2 include:

  1. New script logo

  2. Three channels

  3. Midrange control now on one cocentric knob for frequency and cut/boost

  4. Tube distortion circuit on Channel 1

  5. Headphone out and level control on front panel

  6. Two-way speaker (full frequency response for acoustic channel)

  7. MIDI control for channel selection, boost/crunch, limiter and input

  8. Stereo aux-in for keyboard/CD input

  9. 1U space provided for third party multi-effector

  10. No on-board reverb

  11. Four effects loops

After Pearce Amps folds, Dan Pearce apparently takes the design to ART, who offer it as their ADP150 combo
